Group Swim Lessons
Group swim lessons are a great way for you or your child to learn and strengthen your skills in the water amongst friends.
The Daviess County Family YMCA offers Levels 1 & 2 for children ages 4-9. We also offer adult group swimming lessons. All classes follow the YMCA’s overall swimming lesson curriculum.
Adult
Adult Group Lessons focus on increasing the swimming abilities, water safety and self-confidence of the adult beginner. Participants will learn how to float and kick in the water, leading up to learning the basic structure of strokes. Instructors will adapt their teaching based on current skill levels of all participants.

Level 1
Level 1 is the beginning of water acclimation where your child will increase their comfort in the water, learn basic water safety skills and will lay the foundation for their future swimming progress. This level is for 4-6 year olds. Level 1 classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-6:30pm for 4 weeks and are 30-minute classes in length. Dates depend on the session you register for.
